[Event Post]
*It's a lovely fall day, and Akira's a bit distracted.
Sure, things have improved a bit when it comes to his uncle and how he's been reacting to him, but something still ultimately... bothered him.
He wasn't even sure why his uncle had been so wary and protective of him in the first place. And he felt like he was losing track of what he was doing more and more... He wondered if he was sick or something, but he didn't seem to have any symptoms of anything actually wrong with him physically, and the recent medical exam employees had to go through found nothing wrong, other than "get more sleep at night".
Which was weird in itself. He slept fine through the night.
So while he's sitting in the plaza, drinking from a canned coffee, he thinks. And thinks.
When will he stop thinking?*

The way your jaw's shifted, the change to yer muscles... it's odd.
Puberty stops while you're a teenager.
Unless ya believe that crap about 'second puberty'.
no subject
Why am I even bothering to let you keep talking about nonsense like this?
no subject
Because, ya know deep down, I'm right about it.
Something odd is going on with ya.
no subject
no, he shouldn't be letting what she says get to him, should he?*
So-- so what? You just saying this out of the kindness of your heart? Maybe you think I'll not report you if you solve all of my problems for me?
no subject
Oh no, I don't expect such a thing, but.
I find it interestin' how ignorant to the fact someone else seems to be stealin' yer body from ya, hun.
no subject
*of course that bothers him the most. Considering what happened to his uncle...*
no subject
That shape ain't yours, is it?
Why's it changin'.
Seems like it's changin' to fit someone else.
Someone who'd rather your body be theirs, maybe.
A ghost? An ancestor?
no subject
no subject
... Why else would your body be radically changing?
no subject
no subject
Illusion Magic, perhaps, but you don't strike me as magickally adept.
no subject
What I do know, is that if I summon a monster and hit you with it, it'll hurt. But that's about the extent of what I'm "adept" at, with things like that.
no subject
And I have an axe and a sword to hack and stab them with.
But let's not move to violence unnecessarily.
no subject
What do you really want, here?
no subject
Do you mean right now or in the grander scheme of things?
no subject
no subject
Honest curiosity, and a vague notion of concern I ain't dropped yet.
no subject
I'm nothing special in the grand scheme of anything.
no subject
Sometimes, ya just do things 'cuz they're arbitrary.
::Shrugs.::
no subject
But there's nothing wrong with me.
*that's definitely got a hint of denial.*
no subject
Sure.
But don't blame me when you find yourself a passenger in yer own body, hun, or worse, your own sense of self extinguished.
::Turns and walks with a cute sway, letting her skirt bounce.::
no subject
... What would I even do, if you're right?
no subject
::Not turning back.::
Either protect your soul.
Or fortify yourself from possession with magic to do so.
Obviously, not mine, because who knows what I could do.
no subject
Like I said, I don't know anything about magic.
But there's other people who do, aren't there?
*you're surprisingly aware that whatever you'd do would probably be nothing he'd want, but a part of him now wonders... maybe this is what he should be looking into? He doesn't believe her about himself, but he knows that his uncle is possessed by something or another, even if he pretends like he isn't.
If he can even get a small benefit out of this conversation...*
no subject
Many many more than you'd think.
